This Privacy Notice explains how LUME ("LUME", "we") collects, uses, and shares your personal data when you use our website (https://lumegear.site) and the LUME application. LUME is the data controller for the personal data described below.
1. Data We Collect
- Account data: name, email address, login credentials, profile display name and avatar.
- Subscription data: plan type, start/end dates, status, and Paddle customer / subscription identifiers.
- Support & communications: messages you send us and metadata about the exchange.
- Usage & telemetry: pages visited, features used, release version downloaded, error diagnostics, and device identifiers necessary to run the desktop app.
- Technical data: IP address, browser type, operating system, and language.
Payment card details are collected and processed directly by Paddle; we do not receive or store your card number.
2. How We Use Your Data
- To create and secure your account, and to authenticate the desktop application.
- To provide, maintain, and improve the Service, including release delivery and version checks.
- To provide customer support and respond to your requests.
- To detect, prevent, and address fraud, abuse, or security incidents.
- To send transactional communications (receipts, security alerts, product updates).
- To send optional marketing communications where you have consented, which you can withdraw at any time.
- To comply with legal obligations.
3. Legal Bases
- Contract: to deliver the Service you subscribed to.
- Legitimate interests: to secure and improve the Service, and to prevent fraud.
- Consent: for optional analytics or marketing communications, where required.
- Legal obligation: to comply with applicable tax, accounting, and regulatory duties.
4. Who We Share Data With
- Merchant of Record (Paddle): for order processing, subscription management, invoicing, and tax compliance. See Paddle's Privacy Notice.
- Infrastructure & subprocessors: hosting, database, authentication, and email delivery providers used to operate the Service.
- Professional advisers (legal, accounting) under confidentiality.
- Public authorities where required by law or valid legal process.
We do not sell your personal data.
5. International Transfers
Our subprocessors may process data outside your country of residence. Where applicable, we rely on recognized transfer mechanisms such as Standard Contractual Clauses or adequacy decisions to protect your data.
6. Data Retention
We keep account and subscription data for as long as your account is active and for a reasonable period afterwards to comply with legal, accounting, and dispute-resolution obligations. Support conversations and telemetry are retained for a shorter period. When no longer needed, data is deleted or anonymised.
